7:30 AM August 11 and it looks like it’s really going to happen. With all the preparation and planning I feel we are still not ready, but would we ever feel totally prepared? Probably not, so here we go, each with backpack that is supposed to sustain us for ten months. Hmm… time will tell. We are excited and looking forward to sharing our journey with you as we fumble our way through this. A big thank you to Hilary, Dane and Norah for driving us to the airport in Edmonton and for putting us up for the last six weeks in Hinton. See y’all on the road.

Thank you so much for hosting the family get-together. It was so good to see everyone again! We used to see each other so often as kids, and I cherish the fact that we grew up so close to our cousins.
I can’t imagine the emotions that you must have been going through as you drove out of the yard on your last day at home. But I know that this trip will be a once in a lifetime experience for you and you will come back feeling fulfilled!!
My hope is that when you return, we can get the whole family together for a true Wileman family reunion!
